The Incarnation

Details

The Incarnation exhibits the life story of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and the Mahidol family. At the head of the royal lineage is Prince Mahidol Adulyadej, the royal father with a resolute purpose and a commitment to serving the nation. This spirit was then passed on to Princess Srinagarindra, who raised her children to be noble, wise, and compassionate individuals.

This zone displays “Cūti” by Saravudth Duangjumpa, 2017 National Artist in Visual Arts (Sculpture). This sculpture was created in the form of a lotus to symbolize the flourishing of Buddhist wisdom and the deeply ingrained meaning of the flower among the Thai Buddhist community. As a devout Buddhist, His Majesty upheld the Ten Kingly Virtues and ruled with righteousness, ensuring peace and happiness in the nation and His subjects throughout His reign. The artist has processed metal materials to mimic the hues of gold, copper, silver, and red gold, as well as the nine gems, in his unique innovative techniques to create the water droplets resting on the lotus petals beneath the tiered umbrella that mirror His Majesty’s life journey.
